The temperature was 83 degrees, and for some reason, the warm weather brought out the ticks. I attracted at least 150, and only one managed to slightly embed itself in my skin. The surprise of the hike - I got within 10 feet of two adult turkeys before they got startled and flew off. The highlight for the trip was watching thunderheads to the east and northeast. |
