Note: I took photos of a 10 petal blazing star plant this evening. The above photo - and the rest for this entry, including on part 4 - are the same flower. Note how it opens up as the sun sets. I believe that this was probably the first night that this flower opened up. You can tell that this wildflower is one of my favorites - as I typically don't take "sequence" photographs of one wildflower.
